Oh Happy Day
I have applied to teach Christian Religious Instruction in the large Shire State School directly across the road from my home, commencing in the New Year. I hope that I will be considered suitable for this role as I love working with children and would find this position to be very enjoyable and fulfilling, I believe.
We have had a most inspiring weekend, having welcomed a large group of visitors from the Reedy Creek Baptist Church on the Gold Coast to our tiny Community Church, on Sunday. It was indeed wonderful to spend time with these lovely people, who brought with them many hampers and other assorted gifts for the people of Tara, especially for those who suffered personal loss during the recent tragic bush fires. The practical assistance from these visitors to Tara was greatly appreciated and we are hoping that many locals here will be able to receive hampers, clothing, bedding and school supplies for their children during this week.
A very big thankyou to the members of Reedy Creek Baptist Church for all the work they put in to have the many gifts ready for distribution to those in Tara who need them most.
Their kindness, selflessness and generosity demonstrates that there are still good people in the world, who are willing to be of assistance to those who are doing it tough. Thankyou, Reedy Street Baptist Church. Your kindness is much appreciated in Tara.
