I will survive.
Following one of the most harrowing, and completely unexpected and unprovoked attacks I have ever encountered, I now feel that I can live to play again another day.
Helped so much by the words of this amazingly touching old hymn, one of my ‘go to hymns’ in times of trouble.
Jesus, keep me near the cross,
There a precious fountain,
Free to all, a healing stream,
Flows from Calvary’s Mountain.
In the cross, in the cross
Be my glory ever
Till my ransomed soul shall find
Rest beyond the River.
Near the cross, a trembling soul,
Love and mercy found me,
Till the Bright and Morning Star
Wrapped His wings around me.
In the cross, in the cross
Be my glory ever
Till ransomed soul shall find
Rest beyond the River.
All praise to God, our Protector, Redeemer and soon coming King.
